Unacceptable Items

There are certain materials we cannot accept because they are extremely dangerous to our employees, and our environment. We appreciate your business and thank you for honoring our policies.

• Any sealed units or tanks
• Nickel Cadmium or Lithium Batteries
• Sodium Switches
• Any unknown chemical substances or residue.
• Paint Cans: full or empty.
• Asbestos or items contaminated with asbestos
• Oil Filters
• Liquid or gas filled containers of any kind (i.e., gas tanks, reservoirs w/fluids)
• Acetylene Containers
• Any unknown hazardous waste, substance, material or scrap contaminated by the same.
• Capacitors- PCB (sources: washers, refrigerators, air conditions TV's etc.)
• Florescent Light Fixtures with capacitors and bulbs. (We only take the fixtures)
• Oil or Unknown Liquids
• CRT Tubes
• Ballasts
• Electronics, Computers, PC's, etc.
• ORDNANCE or ORDNANCE RELATED MATERIALS
• Mercury Switches and thermostats
• Aerosol Cans
• Refrigerators not acceptable unless drained of CFC by certified technician
• Radioactive Materials

• Shock Absorbers (must be cut in half)
• Tires; (a tire fee will be deducted) Cars or other equipment fluids.
• Rubber Flaps
• Trash, paper, wood, rags, foam, cardboard etc.
• Wooden Pallets
• Steel cable, unless cut into two foot lengths
• Cars
• Heavy Equipment must be drained of all fluids with battery removed
